Gemechu is the leading corporate lawyer of the firm. Speaking of litigation, he is licensed to practice both at the Federal Courts and Courts in the Oromia Regional State. Gemechu’s main area of practice is Company law, and the areas that usually go along with it, inter alia, contracts, investment, labour laws.

After graduating from Mekelle University in 2009, Gemechu has worked as a Federal Public Prosecutor, as a legislative draftsperson, and as a Judge at Federal Tax Appeal Commission. He has worked on the amendment of the Commercial Code as a member of a distinct technical committee of experts, tasked with the amendment of the Commercial Code of Ethiopia, a work in progress for more than half a century.
